PREFECTORIAL SYSTEM

A prefect systemis a student leadership program that gives selected students authorityover other students. Prefects are expected to set a good example, enforcerules, and help the school run smoothly.

How does it work?
Prefect Selection

Prefectsare usually chosen by the head teacher and senior staff. The selectionprocess may consider the opinions of peers, staff, and senior leadership.

ROLE

Prefectsmay lead student committees, support events, and represent the school atimportant events. They may also help with promotional activities, such ascharity events.

Responsibilities

Prefectsmay monitor the behavior of younger students, help with registrationactivities, and act as a buddy to students who need support.

Expectations

Prefectsare expected to meet high standards of politeness, courtesy, dress, attendance,and punctuality.
